Funerals

Funerals

The Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy call us to comfort the sorrowful, bury the dead, and pray for the living and the dead. The Rite of a Christian Funeral and Burial is a way to honor your deceased loved one and also allows your parish family to bestow the mercy of Christ upon you and your family.

Planning a funeral

Upon the passing of your loved one, your funeral home of choice will assist you with the various aspects of planning your loved one's funeral. However, there are many unique aspects of a Catholic funeral, and these are best discussed with our pastor.

To plan your loved one's funeral, please contact our pastor.

Pre-Planning A Funeral

Many individuals are taking the time to make their funeral arrangements in advance. This ensures their wishes are met, but also that during a time of grief, their family members are not left wondering what their loved one would have liked as their final wishes. If you want to pre-plan portions of your Funeral Mass and Burial, please contact our Funeral Coordinator.

Mass intentions

The Spiritual Work of Mercy calls us to pray for the dead. One particular way this can be done is to include an intention for your loved one during an upcoming Mass at the parish. Please review our policy for Mass Intentions and then contact our parish secretary for scheduling.
