Prayer Support

In an emergency, call our parish priest at 608.788.5483 ext. 7.

We are a parish family of brothers and sisters. We are here for you. Our faith compels us to pray and to support each other in prayer.

Book of Intentions

Near the main entrance we have placed a Book of Intentions. Here you are invited to write any prayer requests, whether prayers of petition, thanks, or other matters

Prayer Chain

The MMOC Prayer Chain are parish members who have promised to pray for any needs.

Send your prayer needs to us at prayer@mmoclacrosse.org or call the parish office. Your request goes directly and only to our parish secretary, who coordinates the Prayer Chain. Any information that you choose to share will be treated as confidential and disclosed only to members of the Prayer Chain.

Those on the Chain receive prayer intentions via a phone call. Each person on the Chain is asked to pray at least one decade of the Rosary for each intention, and to call one or two others on the Chain. Some weeks are slow, others have many requests. This is a ministry that you can do even if you are not internet-friendly or unable to leave your home. If you would like to join this ministry, please call the parish office.

Mass Intentions

For us, the highest, most sanctifying prayer is the Mass. In our tradition, the prayer of all present at Mass is united in the priest who enacts the Holy Eucharist in our midst. We believe that a special grace comes from dedicating the prayer intention of a Mass.

Many Mass Intentions are petitions for the souls of people who have died. Intentions of thanks or celebration are also welcome.

Our experience is that we receive more requests for Mass Intentions than we have Masses. So we have published a Policy on Mass Intentions that we trust will clarify things for everyone.
