Chicken Ques

We hold two Chicken Ques per year on the second Thursday in May and September.  These events raise about $12,000 per year for our parish. We are proud of the fact that we prepare all of the food ourselves at our church; our Chicken Ques are not catered.

"The Mother of All Chicken Ques"

Deacon Richard Sage once described ours as "the mother of all chicken ques." If you have not yet experienced an MMOC Chicken Que, it is an opportunity not to be missed: $12 buys a dinner home-made fresh and tasty at MMOC, never catered:

●a half chicken charcoal-grilled to perfection by our own crew and swathed in a secret, savory sauce
●a baked potato served with butter and sour cream
●tender beans slow-roasted in a tomato, onion and bacon sauce
●home-made cole slaw in a light dressing that is sweet but tangy
●dinner roll and amenities

Que Crew

If you've never worked an MMOC Chicken Que—trust us on this—you don't know the fun you're missing! Working a Chicken Que is a great opportunity to do good, have fun, and get to know active people. We prep on the Wednesday morning before each Que and work in shifts on Que day. Sign-up sheets are in the church entry at the same time tickets go on sale.
